Liverpool boss Jurge Klopp personally scouted Inter midfielder Gary Medel during this summer’s Copa America. The German boss is looking to add some depth to the Reds’ midfield and is believed to have set sights on three Serie A midfielders.

Piotr Zielinski is also believed to be close to completing his switch to the Anfield Road, but talks have been put on hold as Liverpool have yet to reach agreement with Udinese.

Marcelo Brozovic is also on Liverpool’s sights even if Inter’s asking price exceeds € 25 million, whilst the nerazzurri could ask up to € 15 million for Medel who joined Inter two years ago but could leave the club for the right offer.

Medel has 78 appearances and one goal with the San Siro outfit. He has also registered six assists during his two-year spell at the club. The 28-year-old has won two successive Copa America titles with Chile beating Argentina in the final on penalties in both 2015 and 2016.
