Juve consider summer bid for AC Milan star

AC Milan managing director Marco Fassone has made it clear several times that, without Champions League football next season, the Rossoneri will have to sell one of their star players. His plan to meet Financial Fair Play regulations hinges on qualification for Europe’s premier club competition and so, by failing to reach this objective, at least one important player must be sold in order to balance the books.

Gianluigi Donnarumma and Suso are the prime candidates to leave but, according to Tuttosport, there is another player who could help the club raise at least €25 million if need be – Alessio Romagnoli.

Juventus are among the list of teams potentially interested in signing the 22-year-old. For a while now, he has been considered one of the heirs to the legendary trio of Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini alongside fellow youngsters Mattia Caldara and Daniele Rugani.

The Turin-based newspaper reports that the former Roma centre-back is on the Bianconeri’s list of summer transfer targets. Should neither Stefan de Vrij or José Giménez arrive, Beppe Marotta could turn his attention to Romagnoli.
