Juventus 1-0 Inter Milan: Player Ratings

In what promised to be a thrilling game of football in the Serie A, Juventus nullified Inter Milan to pick up a trademark 1-0 win over the nerazzurri at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Friday.

The first half turned out to be a one in which both sides were very equal in terms of everything. While Juve did have more shots on goal, Inter had the biggest chance of the game fall to Roberto Gagliardini. A combination of Miranda's terrific long-ball and Mauro Icardi's impressive hold-up helped tee up the Italian, who hit the post after almost being one on one on goal.

The second half saw Juve improve at the back, despite one big error that saw Blaise Matuidi almost gift a goal to the nerazzurri, but a shot was blocked and went out for a corner.

Juve's goal came in the 66th minute, when Joao Cancelo picked out a perfect cross from the left flank to find Mandzukic clear at the far post. The Croatian headed the ball in from close range to hand the bianconeri a big lead.

Juve then decided to sit back and allow Inter the ball and they managed to close the game down, without allowing Inter too many chances or clear attempts at goal.
