Juventus, Allegri: 'I don't fear Barcelona, here's why I benched Dybala'

Massimiliano Allegri talked to Sky Sport after Juventus’ 3-2 defeat against Sampdoria: “I still have to understand the reason of the defeat. We rushed too much after their opener, we must remain calm until we score one. It would have been better if we hadn’t score two goals because it would have been an entirely wrong day for us.”

“We were too nervous, it happened again after the Atalanta loss. We have allowed too many goals this season, especially in away games.”

“I’m not scared about the defeat, Sampdoria deserve the praise for how they played, we are set to face Barcelona on Wednesday but we are not scared, I believe everything can be solved. Dybala and Douglas Costa? I’d do the same choices, we played a very good first half, Dybala is an important player, they [Dybala and Douglas Costa] played well when they entered the pitch. We have played many games and he hasn't been playing at his usual standards of late. Two weeks ago, however, Dybala was hugely criticized for his display against Benevento.”

“It’s hard to talk after a similar defeat. We had a good chance when we were 1-0 up, it’s a strange defeat, now we have to focus in the rest of the campaign, there are many top clubs that want to beat us after years of domination.”
