Juventus are back for Lo Celso, Rosario playmaker keen on Old Lady

As if Juventus hadn't done a good enough job snapping up Italy's young talent in the last transfer window (Berardi, Mandragora, Lapadula) they've now set their sights on a player they came very close to signing in the last transfer window.

Say hello to Giovanni Lo Celso, another one of Fabio Paratici's South American projects (he also pursued the likes of Rogerio and Matheus Pereira). In January, the Bianconeri made a big push, only for their right of first refusal to expire two weeks before the end of the window, further complicating matters.

The likes of Atletico Madrid tried to sneak in and get a deal done, but ultimately returned home empty-handed, with Rosario Central wanting to keep the attacking playmaker until the summer. The Old Lady is now ready to add another young buck to its stables, and is ready to return to Latin America with a €6 million (plus bonuses) offer, and the intention of bringing him to Italy via Sassuolo.

With Giuseppe Marotta meeting intermediaries again in the last few days, Juventus have been informed that the asking price is still of €10 million, and that Porto are still up for the youngster.

There's one further detail worth sharing: the 19-year-old prefers the Old Lady to the Dragoes, and he's even happy to go on loan to Sassuolo first. This could be quite the head-turner if Juventus land themselves another promising talent on the cheap.
