Juventus CEO Marotta: "Messi to Juventus? A utopia"

Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta stopped by Premium Sport to share his thoughts on the fixture at hand at the Allianz Stadium as well as the season as a whole.

Marotta was asked if the reason Messi started on the bench was that he was on his way to Juventus which Marotta laughed off saying: "It is a utopia to even think that Juventus are trying to sign Messi, Barcelona have added value just like him and are a good squad."

Marotta then spoke about Juventus season saying "there is a problem because of tension, similar to the ones we have always had during this period of the season in the past. It is almost a physiological issue for us, which is also related to our workload. Our objective is to have a team that is ready during the most important part of the season. I think that Napoli, Lazio, Inter and Roma have demonstrated that they have taken a step upwards in terms of quality with the new players they have brought in as well as with the coaching changes made. These teams are an alternative to our domination but to us they are a stimulating factor, finally in Italy we have more candidates for the title."
