Juventus dream of signing James or Isco from Real Madrid

The Spanish press is harshly criticizing Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid after the Frenchman lost his first game in charge of the Merengues against city rivals Atletico Madrid at the Bernabeu last Saturday.

Though they are not the only ones responsible for Real Madrid’s poor form and style of play, Spanish papers and Real Madrid supporters are hitting out at both James Rodriguez and Isco for their disappointing performances this term.

The Bernabeu crowd went even further jeering at both of them when they were replaced during the Madrid derby last Saturday. And that was not even the first time.

Real Madrid’s representatives are already looking for suitors who could sign the Colombian ace. A mainstay under Carlo Ancelotti, he has been gradually losing his starter status since Rafa Benitez begun his reign in the Spanish capital and also with Zinedine Zidane in charge, it seems that the best player of the 2014 World Cup has been lost somewhere.

Signing James will be nothing easy. Carlo Ancelotti will try to bring him to the Allianz Arena next summer and the two Manchester clubs are also tracking the 24-year-old offensive midfielder. His contract at the Bernabeu expires in 2020 and his release clause is set to € 500 million.

The auction start price will be € 80 million next summer, though the Spanish media are accusing James of having ‘not enough personality’ and ‘lack of winning mentality.’

As far as Isco is concerned, the Old Lady is chasing him since last summer, when Massimiliano Allegri asked to sign a trequartista. Isco, 23, joined Real Madrid from Malaga for a fee of € 27 million and his price-tag is now believed to be in the region of € 40-45 million.

Real Madrid and Juve are on good terms and the polite relationship between the two parties (who will also discuss Alvaro Morata’s future in the next transfer window) could help summer negotiations.
