Juventus are preparing a big swoop for Nemanja Matic, the Daily Mail confirm.

The Bianconeri are interested in the Manchester United target, and have been so for a long time.

The Chelsea man – acquired from Benfica for €25 million back in 2014 – will be allowed to leave by the Pensioners if they are able to land Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Matic regained a key role at Stamford Bridge this season, being generally preferred to Spanish star Cesc Fabregas in midfield.

The former Benfica man was very close to a move back to Southern Europe last season, being connected to Juventus, among others.

One of the players to suffer the most as Chelsea declined precipitously under Jose Mourinho in 2015-2016, the Balkan midfielder picked it up against last season, adding a surprising amount of assists (seven according to Whoscored) to his repertoire.

Known to be strongly wanted by Jose Mourinho, the Serbian is now catnip again. Who will he choose?
