Juventus, West Ham warned as Everton talk to €40m midfielder

Willian Carvalho could find himself moving to the Premier League after all.

The Sporting Lisbon and Portugal midfielder has been linked to Everton of late, and reports from A Bola claim that the holding midfielder is very much liked by new Toffees Coach Marco Silva.

Moreover, it is believed that Silva has already gone to bat for Carvalho to sporting director Marcel Brands.

Carvalho, 26, has long been linked to the likes of West Ham and Juventus, but has a hefty €40 million release clause tacked onto his contract. Then again, the deal is set to expire next summer.

A Bola write that Brands has been speaking to Carvalho’s agent, and is expected to take the plunge soon. Monaco are also known to be very interested, as they are Coached by Portuguese guru Leonardo Jardim.

Carvalho has scored eleven goals in 191 games in all competitions for the Lions, and was the subject of two offers in the region of €23m and €28m in the winter, both rejected by Sporting’s president.
