    Lippi: ‘Atalanta like Leicester City’

China National team boss Marcello Lippi has released an interview with Radio Anch’io Lo Sport sharing his thoughts on Atalanta’s magic moment and on Juventus’ small crisis. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side sit 5th in the table just one point behind a Champions League spot and Juventus lost their third match this season yesterday as Max Allegri’s side were downed by Genoa.

“I’m happy to see Atalanta’s progresses”, Lippi has told the Italian radio station.

“I’m on very good terms with both president Percassi and the manager Gasperini. There are many ambitious and professional people at Atalanta and it’s not easy to find those qualities everywhere else. They can be like Leicester, why not? These things happen in football. Look at what’s happening in Germany, where Leipzig are the table leaders.”

“I can’t really say why Juventus can’t deal with Serie A and Champions League games. Champions do not automatically settle in well, they have to know the environment and their teammates. The departure of Pogba has had a big impact on Juventus. With respect talking, the likes of Lemina and Sturaro are playing instead of him now.”
