Liverpool agree to €45m fee for Roma superstar

Liverpool look to have landed their first big name of the summer, agreeing to a €45 million transfer fee for Mohamed Salah.

The Daily Mail and the Express write that Roma will end up making almost €50m for the Egyptian star, who has scored 29 Serie A goals over the last two seasons for the Giallorossi.

The outlets confirm that all that was needed was for Liverpool and Roma to agree to a price, seeing as Salah himself had already given the move the nod.

The 25-year-old has also made 15 assists this season in what has been a stellar campaign.

Salah was signed by Chelsea in the 2012-2013 season, but wasn’t given much playing time by Coach Jose Mourinho.

Opting for a loan move to Italy, the Egyptian international played a starring role on loan to Fiorentina, before being involved in a heated transfer controversy as Chelsea ended his 18-month agreement to send him to Roma, who later acquired him for 15m.
