At “The Best” awards gala, Liverpool reportedly told Barcelona how much star Philippe Countinho will cost to bring to Nou Camp. If the Brazilian is to make a January move to Catalonia, executives at Merseyside are asking for €150 million in return.

Coutinho was heavily linked to Barcelona during the summer, to the point he refused to participate in Jurgen Klopp’s training camp. Liverpool ended up rejecting three separate offers, the last one being €119 million, and elected to keep the unhappy star.

Now, however, it appears they are willing to part with Coutinho. The Mail says Liverpool, ninth in the Premier League and 12 points adrift of leaders Manchester City, "are prepared to let Coutinho go in January."

Citing sources in Spain, it adds that Barcelona's failure to sign the Brazil international in the summer has not dented their interest.

Manager Jurgen Klopp "has neither ruled out a sale nor denied that an agreement exists between the two clubs over an eventual transfer," the Mail reports, while the Mirror says "Barca sporting director Robert Fernandez was in the stands at Wembley" to watch Coutinho.

Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian was in charge of transmitting to the representatives of the Barcelona that Liverpool would be willing to sell to him for €150 million in January.
