Malcom could still end up in Rome: Lazio make approach for Barca outcast

Serie A giants Lazio have reportedly asked Barcelona for their outcast winger Malcom.

The Brazilian was very close to a move to Roma this past summer, as they had a bid accepted for the former Bordeaux man. But a chain of events saw Malcom head to Barcelona when he was to head to Rome to complete his giallorossi medical.

Sport in Spain state that while Malcom could be on his way to Rome, it is Lazio who want him now.

The outlet states that Igli Tare has asked for the Brazilian from the Catalan side, with Claudio Lotito also keen on bringing the winger to the Italian capital. They have contacted Barcelona to know more about possibly signing Malcom on loan.

But the Nou Camp based side remain firm in their stance about not letting Malcom go, as they maintain their say about him not being available to go anywhere this month.

The 21-year-old Malcom has failed to make a name for himself at Barca, appearing five times in the La Liga, out of which only one has been a start.
