In the negotiations with Diego Godin, Inter are on the finishing line: The Nerazzurri are one step away from securing the Uruguayan defender, who is ready to leave Atletico Madrid on a free transfer in June.
In fact, as reported by Sky Italia, the defender is on the verge of saying 'yes' to Inter, as a two-year deal has been proposed by the San Siro side. In addition to those two years, there will also be an option for a third, and the parties are now working to complete the final details before closing the deal.
Medical examinations could take place as soon as two weeks from now, as well as the signatures for the contract. Of course, a big signing for Inter, certainly sending out a statement to the other clubs interested, among those Man Utd, AC Milan and many others.
