Man Utd CEO stays in England to try to complete deals for Perisic & Dier

According to reports in The Mirror, Manchester United CEO Ed Woodward will not be joining the rest of the squad on their US tour but instead will remain in England to try to secure deals for both Ivan Perisic and Eric Dier.

The Red Devils are trying to push through a £45M deal for the 28-year-old Croatian Perisic with boss Jose Mourinho intent on making the Inter man his third big money signing of the season after Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku.

The Italian side want £50M for their star player but the journal reports that United are only willing to pay the £45M and that this will be their final offer. Inter boss Luciano Spalletti is determined to try to hang on to Perisic but the player is known to have already told club bosses he wants to make the move to Old Trafford.

Mourinho also wants more midfield reinforcements and Spurs and England star Eric Dier is understood to be his primary target. The 23-year-old is reportedly keen on a move away from North London with the Guardian stating that United are ready to double his wages whilst making an £50M offer for his services.
