Man Utd dealing with two more injuries

Manchester United will assess the health of Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera ahead of their matchup with Tottenham this weekend after both picked up knocks against Swansea in the Carabao/EFL Cup.

Rashford reported tightness in his hamstring during the first half of the 2-0 win at the Liberty Stadium while Herrera was caught on the ankle during a challenge.

The problems are thought to be minor but both Rashford and Herrera will be monitored by medical staff at Carrington this week. The pair were substituted as a precaution after 67 minutes, but United are hopeful both will be fit to face Mauricio Pochettino's side this weekend.

The same cannot be said for Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini. After the match, manager Jose Mourinho said he doesn’t expect the pair to be ready. Pogba has been sidelined since Sept. 12 with a hamstring injury while Fellaini has missed the last four games with a knee ligament strain picked up playing for Belgium.

On the bright side, Phil Jones is expected to be fit despite suffering a hip injury against Huddersfield after he was named on the bench against Swansea. There is also hope Eric Bailly may be able to make his comeback against Tottenham.
