Manchester United make contact with PSG for Ivorian full-back

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding right-back Serge Aurier. French sports journal L’Equipe (via The Sun) claims that the arrival in the capital of Dani Alves on Wednesday has put serious question marks over the 24-year-old Ivorian's future whilst they also state that the player himself told coach Unai Emery that he wanted to leave at the end of last season.

United boss Jose Mourinho already has Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia in that position but is believed to want more reinforcements. Aurier has now become a name that has gone towards the top of the wish-list at Old Trafford with the Premier League side likely to face competition from Juventus who have just seen Dani Alves rescind his contract at the club, and Barcelona, where he is believed to be admired by new coach Ernesto Valverde.

There could also be completion from England too with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly interested in Aurier being the replacement for Kyle Walker should the England star leave the club this summer.
