Mancini: Inter fans need to be optimistic

Inter are back in town following their US trip.

The Nerazzurri squad arrived at Malpensa airport today, the chance for Coach Roberto Mancini to say that fans of the club should be optimistic.

Intercepted by our Inter correspondent Pasquale Guarro (@Ngoppejammeja), Il Mancio had this to say about recent developments in the club's US tour, where he expressed his unhappiness with the club's failure to bring in his transfer targets and renew his deal.

“Many things have been written in the last few days, a lot of which were false.

“Now it is time to be quiet. The fans are optimistic? They're right to be positive”.

Mauro Icardi, linked to a number of bids from Scudetto rivals Napoli, declined to speak.

The good news is that the Coach appeared happy and smiling [he's always looked like that in training, it should be added. Ed]. His doubts seemed to have been partly swept away by his recent meetings with Erick Thohir and Steven Zhang (Inter are very close to Antonio Candreva), and it appears increasingly likely that he will extend his deal with Inter soon.
