Marotta reveals why he left Juventus to join Inter

Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has revealed as to why he left Juventus in mid-season to join Inter Milan.

Marotta left Juventus before the end of 2018 and stepped down as the bianconeri's CEO, leaving his post and leaving Fabio Paratici as the club's sporting director.

Marotta was recently talking to Secelo XIX and he was asked about why he took the decision to leave the Old Lady before even mid-season came.

He said:  "It was time to change, with me grew managers who now had to take responsibility and the company decided a generational change of course, the change could be better managed.

"But I will quote Mandela who said: "In life you never lose, you win or learn." In my case, a door was closed and a door opened."

Marotta joined Inter as the club's CEO in the second week of Inter.
