Milan CEO: ‘Raiola stands in the way of Donnarumma contract extension’

AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone has released an interview with Il Corriere della Sera talking about the future of Gigio Donnarumma. It is believed that Donnarumma has agreed to put pen to paper on a new agreement with AC Milan but the representative of the rossoneri has denied that the two parties have already reached an agreement.

“I feel like Gigio wants to sign a new contract, we have an agreement with the player and his family and this is our final offer. I think Donnarumma will take a decision within one or two days but these king of choices are never taken by players on their own.”

“Agents can be very influent and in this case there is one who knows exactly how to do his job. We don’t share his ideas so I don’t know what the final choice of Donnarumma will be. I talk to Mino [Raiola] because he’s the representative of the player. I repeat: we are close to reaching an agreement with the player and his family, not yet with Raiola.”

Calciomercato.com exclusively reported two months ago that the player’s agent and Mino Raiola did not have the same ideas regarding Donnarumma’s future.
