Milan, Gattuso: 'Allegri? The trophies speak for themselves - he deserves the best'

AC Milan head coach Gennaro Gattuso has spoken at his press conference ahead of Milan's must-win game against Spal this weekend; if the Rossoneri are to keep up any hope of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League.

'The fans? We must say a million times thanks, their numbers are incredible. We are two days away, we are playing with our goal in mind. We hope to close well, we have given joys and disappointments.

"Allegri? The numbers and trophies speak, his story speaks. I didn't have a hair on my face, we won together a championship from B to A, lots of fights and lots of hugs with him. He's a real one, he deserves the best and I think his players and fans will greet him with affection. We must think about doing our best, Juventus has shown in these years what mentality it has.

"De Rossi? â€‹Beyond the technical and tactical improvements, what struck me was the human depth. Every time he made a mistake, he apologized, putting his big face on it. We have a good relationship, he is curious. I wish the best. I agree with the words of Kolarov, Roma will notice it when there will be no more of him in the locker room.

"Leonardo? I repeat it again: these are things that you write to have fun. I have no problems with Leonardo, I had them as a player. On a human level there is fairness and respect."
