Milan join Man United in race for €80m Real Madrid outcast

The list of teams chasing James Rodriguez keeps growing, as Milan have decided to enter the fray.

The 25-year-old Colombian talent isn’t being given the necessary playing time at Real Madrid, attracting interest from PSG, Manchester United and now Milan.

The Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Rossoneri like the midfielder, but don’t look like favourites.

Why? Real Madrid are asking for a king’s ransom for their players, with the Merengues demanding a whopping 80 million for their reserve.

The former Monaco player moved to the Bernabeu for €80 million in the summer of 2014, but has generally not been a regular starter. Barring an encouraging first season in which he played regularly and scored 13 goals, the attacking midfielder has struggled to impose himself.

It spoke volumes that James was left in the stands for Real Madrid’s Champions League final win over Juventus, while Isco showed how far he’d come by starting and playing reasonably.
