Milan owner Berlusconi could undergo heart surgery

It looks like Silvio Berlusconi is out of the woods... for the moment.

Taken to hospital after suffering a cardiac imbalance on Sunday, the AC Milan owner has since made a partial recovery, but is likely to need heart surgery, if the Corriere della Sera's source is right.

The good news, however, is that doctors think they've found the cause of Berlusconi's problems, namely a heart valve which hasn't been pumping as much as blood as it should have.

Better, Il Cavaliere seems capable of continuing in his role, with recent rumours of his resignation probably unfounded.

Meanwhile, Milan's owner has been resting on the sixth floor in the San Raffaele hospital in Palazzo Diamante, and has been visited by many close friends and family, from lawyer Denis Ghedini, trusted confidant Fedele Confalonieri and his children Marina, Luigi, Piersilvio and Barbara.
