AC Milan's Biglia booed off pitch vs Juventus

There can be no mincing of words, Lucas Biglia has been an utter disappointment  in his debut season for AC Milan. The former Lazio midfielder has been less of a protagonist and more of an antagonist as his new club continues their equally disappointing season.

During last night’s 2-0 loss to Juventus, the fans made their displeasure with the highly-paid playmaker extremely clear. In the 61st minute, Biglia was replaced by Luca Antonelli and received thunderous jeers from the sold out San Siro. No doubt they were frustrated of his mistake that led to Juventus’ first goal.

In the 21st minute, Miralem Pjanic found Paulo Dybala at the top of the box, unmarked. His man, Biglia, had completely lost track of the most explosive player in Serie A. Unmolested, Dybala found Higuain for a simple goal against Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Similarly, during the Derby della Madonnina, Biglia - who cost Milan €17 million this past summer - lost track of Inter’s top goalscorer, Mauro Icardi, who gave his club a 2-1 lead on their way to a 3-2 victory.

It’s yet to be seen what, if anything, manager Vincenzo Montella will do with the struggling Biglia. One thing is for certain, his weak play cannot continue should both want to maintain their jobs.
