Milan target, former EPL man set to remain at Barcelona

Gerard Deulofeu looks to have impressed enough at Barcelona to keep him at the Camp Nou.

The former Milan star was loaned out to the Rossoneri last season, and impressed in his six months at the San Siro enough so as to compel the Catalans to spend €12 million on his buy-back clause.

The 21-year-old scored four goals and made three assists in 16 Serie A games last season.

While he struck out at Everton, he has been a strong presence with the Blaugrana, and has already scored his maiden Liga goal.

“I feel important,” he recently said. That’s why I returned here.” Born and raised in Catalonia, Deulofeu is a former Masia graduate.

According to TMW, Barcelona’s directors believe that the winger is good enough to stay, and Coach Ernesto Valverde is counting on his this season.

This is bad news for Milan, who would have liked to bring him to the San Siro recently.
