Milan were close to signing Ajax star Neres last year
Yesterday David Neres of Ajax showed the world just what he could do, when he scored the second goal in Ajax’s 4-1 victory over Real Madrid at the Bernebeu. But to those at Milan, this performance was no surprise. The Rosseneri scouted the Brazilian extensively last season, and were said to be very keen on bringing him to the San Siro. However it was Ajax’s asking price that put a stop to any deal happening, with the Dutch club demanding almost €50m for the attacker.
