Montella has six games to save his job at AC Milan

Vincenzo Montella has five games in order to avoid being sacked by Milan.

According to Tuttosport, the Rossoneri Coach’s future won’t be determined by this Saturday’s trip to Napoli.

The Turinese paper confirms that the games against Torino, Fiorentina, Benevento, Bologna and Verona will globally determine whether l’Aeroplanino will continue at the San Siro.

Milan have been linked to Carlo Ancelotti, as well as Antonio Conte, as Montella has come under increasing pressure.

The Rossoneri have lost a number of games (five, almost as many as their six wins) this season, despite spending over €200 million on eleven new players, and find themselves languishing in seventh place, six points clear of Europa League football.

With the Diavolo closer to fifteenth place than the Champions League spots, they are hardly matching the expectations set by directors Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli.

Montella has been criticised for not successfully integrating the new squad, and putting in poor displays against Juventus, Roma, Genoa and Lazio.
