Morata to snub Chelsea for big money move to Milan

Morata to snub Chelsea for big money move to Milan

Milan’s sensational summer transfer window looks set to continue. After the shock capture of Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus on Friday and the signing of Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia on Sunday, the Rossoneri have taken their summer spending to over €200M.

According to Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, the next big name to arrive at the San Siro could be Spanish international striker Alvaro Morata. The pink journal claims that Milan are ready to offer the 24-year-old frontman a salary worth €10M-a-season which would make him the highest paid player in Serie A. The player’s representatives, Nelio Lucas and Juanma Lopez, are now ready to open negotiations with the Italian giants to try to finalise a move.

Chelsea also have designs on the Real Madrid star but despite the Premier League champions prepared to offer €9M-a-season plus Champions League football, it’s understood Morata prefers a move back to Italy than one to West London.
Milan are also ready to table a €70M offer to Real for his services as Morata becomes their priority over Torino’s Andrea Belotti and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
