Napoli, De Laurentiis hints at major summer signing in 2019

Aurelio De Laurentiis has had a chaotic six months. When Maurizio Sarri left Napoli, to join Chelsea as the West London club dismissed former Juve boss Antonio Conte. Speaking to Radio Marte on their Marte Sport Live show, De Laurentiis spoke about the possibility of Napoli making a superstar signing: “We will not buy anyone in January, but in June we will make a big name purchase. Cavani, if you ditch Paris and decide to earn less, we will welcome you with open arms.”

De Laurentiis also commented on updates at Napoli’s San Paolo stadium: “Tomorrow there will be a Samsung inspection for the installation of state-of-the-art maxi-screens San Paolo Coverage There are thousands and thousands of bolts to be registered.”

De Laurentiis is therefore hinting at not only the possibility of a return to Napoli for PSG forward Edinson Cavani but also that another big name could be in store otherwise. The January market will stay quiet for Napoli but it will explode, once again, into life next summer.
