Napoli, Giuntoli reveals the history of Fabian Ruiz’s signing
Napoli director of football Cristiano Giuntoli has revealed a few secrets of his jobs in an interview with Sky Sport: “We wanted to sign Fabin Ruiz last January but it wasn’t possible. We were promised by the agent that the player would have joined Napoli in the summer. When Ancelotti arrived he asked us to sign him. It was a coincidence, given that we’d already blocked the player”, Giuntoli said.
My biggest regret is Tolisso. He had to undergo medical tests with us but Lyon qualified to the Champions League group stages and the player opted to remain in France. The following year he joined Bayern Munich”.
