Napoli star pays for fellow footballer's ACL surgery

Arkadiusz Milik’s has once again come across as a swell guy.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Napoli star recently paid for a fellow Polish footballer’s ligament surgery, because the latter couldn’t afford it. Konrad Nowak of Gornik Zabrze (and only 22 years old) was given the full deluxe treatment at Rome’s Villa Stuart clinic - including rehabilitation. The total cost? €20000! Hardly a cheap trinket.

Milik can certainly sympathize, having seen a promising Serie A career be interrupted twice by the same injury, the Polish international rupturing his ACL last year, and doing so again in the recent win over SPAL.

The scorer of ten goals in Serie A and Champions League action combined, Milik is expected to see out another season without making a major impact.

If he wants Karma to be on his side, Milik has certainly done the right thing. He moved to Napoli in the summer of 2016 (when Inter were also interested) for €32 million.
