Neuer reveals when he could be back and it's no good news for Bayern

Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer has admitted that he could remain out of action up to six months, sparking fears that the German will miss some of the most important games of the season in Champions League and Bundesliga as well.

"The wound has to stay clean and heal by itself. Then the healing within the foot takes place. That can even take half a year”, the 30-year-old told Bayern official tv (via BeIn Sports).

Neuer got injured at the beginning of September and his lay-off was thought to be not a serious one, so much so the Germany keeper was initially thought to need only a few weeks on the sidelines to recover.

The latest injury update, however, is more serious than the first one. For now Neuer is not a doubt for thw 2018 World Cup that will be played in Russia.

Bayern Munich hope the keeper will return to action as soon as possible. The German have just appointed Jupp Heynkess as their interim boss till the end of the season.
