Nicchi: 'Higuain made me shiver during Milan-Juve'

In a long interview with Il Mattino, the president of the Italian referees association, Marcello Nicchi, commented on the ban that Gonzalo Higuain received.

"It is useless to continue to talk about rules, when the rules are there but are not applied. We will no longer accept aggression," he began.

In was in the important game between Milan and Juventus, when Higuain received a straight red card for yelling at the referee. In the end, several Milan players had to hold the Argentinian back, who was furious with the referee.

"An example? November 11. I come back home, and I see AC Milan vs Juventus. Higuain made me shiver, he had to be held by five teammates while trying to attack the referee," Nicchi concluded.

Higuain received a two-game ban for his actions, and his appeal was later denied as the verdict stood firm.
