Not only Manchester City: AC Milan expect Uefa sanctions too

AC Milan is waiting to know the sanctions of Uefa for breach of Financial Fair Play in the period between 2014 and 2017. The Rossoneri are likely to receive a fine but could also be punished with a limitation of transfers. That doesn’t mean the Serie A giants will be provided from signing players next January or next summer. The Rossoneri, however, could be forced to make new signings only using the proceeds of sales of other players. Alternatively, the Rossoneri could be forced to have a limited roster for their European competitions.

After the sanctions of Uefa, AC Milan will activate the settlement agreement, beginning the path to have their books in order.

The Serie A giants, however, are not the only club in trouble with Uefa. Manchester City, in fact, could face Champions League ban.

Football Leaks, in fact, has recently suggested that a sponsorship of roughly € 75 million was paid from the club’s owners, the Abu Dhabi United Group, when it should have been paid by airline sponsor Etihad. The position of PSG doesn’t seem to be as serious as that one of Manchester City. Uefa’s decision on these three clubs is expected to be released before the weekend or at the beginning of next week.
