Paper talk: Inter put Liverpool target up for sale, AC Milan striker set for January exit

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport gives an important update over the future of Geoffrey Kondogbia. The Frenchman has been failing to impress at the San Siro since arriving at the club in summer 2015 and given his poor performances, the Serie A giants want to sell him in the winter transfer window.

According to the Italian paper, Inter are open to sell Kondogbia on a loan deal with € 22 million option to buy in January. Liverpool are one of the most interested sides in signing the 23-year-old midfielder alongside Ligue1 giants Marseille.

Inter signed Kondogbia for € 30 million in 2015 and do not want to lose too much money from their original investment, that’s why they only want to sell Kondogbia on a permanent deal, but only on loan with option to buy as this last formula would allow them to potentially cash in more money from the player’s sale.

Meantime, AC Milan are looking to free up cash to sign new players in the winter transfer window as the club’s takeover is likely to be postponed to February.

Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano tops the rossoneri list of departures as the former Shakhtar Donetsk is on €3-million-a-year deal until 2020 and his departure would allow the Serie A giants to save € 6 million a year gross of tax.

According to several reports in Italy, there are German and Russian clubs that would welcome the Brazilian player with open arms, whilst a return in Brazil is not a plausible option. Luiz Adriano is not the only player on the verge of leaving the San Siro in January as Carlos Bacca is also being linked with leaving the club with both PSG and Sevilla interested in signing the Colombian hit-man.
