Current Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has revealed that during his stint at Sampdoria before he came to Juve, he wanted the blucercherati to sign Robert Lewandowski and Kuba Blaszczykowski before they joined Borussia Dortmund.

Lewandowski and â€‹Blaszczykowski were becoming really hot propects not only in Polish football but in European football too and were wanted by a host of clubs across Europe. They did go on to win the Bundesliga with Dortmund, but Paratici has confirmed that he wanted them during his Sampdoria days.

The Juve sporting director was talking to a talk show on Przeglad Sportowy and he said: "Genoa and Sampdoria wanted him. It was two of them. Blaszczykowski  and Lewandowski. One was at Lechia Warsaw and the other was at Wisla Krakow.

"But they wanted to go to Dortmund, but I remember because they chose Dortmund because of the language because its easier for them and also because its Dortmund.
