Pogba pushes Man Utd to sign Psg defender as Emery confirms summer exit

Paul Pogba is pushing Manchester United to sign Psg defender Serge Aurier. The 24-year-old is also being linked with moves to Tottenham, Inter and Juventus but the bianconeri are now officially out of the race to sign him given that they have already filled their two spots for non-EU players.

Aurier, in fact, is a Cote d’Ivoire International but holds a French passport as well. His EU passport, however is only valid for France and Juventus can’t sign him neither this summer nor in January.

Reports in France claim former Juventus star Paul Pogba wants Man Utd to sign Aurier in the current transfer window despite Aurier's problem with the French law. Last year he was banned from entering the UK for a Champions League game with Arsenal after he was charged with assaulting a police officer and is set to undergo trial next month.

Meantime, Psg boss Unai Emery has confirmed that the 24-year-old wants to leave Psg this summer. “I spoke with Serge to tell him that I wanted him to stay.  He told me that he wants to leave and he preferred staying in Paris to prepare for his departure”, Emery told L’Equipe.
