Porto was sanctioned by UEFA, as the parameters of financial fair play were violated. It is the official sanction for the club that yesterday announced its new technician, Sergio Conceicao. From a sporting standpoint, the Portuguese club can only register 22 players in their A list for Uefa competitions in 2017/18 and only 23 in 2018/19. These restrictions will be removed from 2019/20 if the club respects its obligations.
