Porto star denies Juventus, Liverpool talks
The Mexican midfielder is being heavily linked with leaving his club since last summer when Serie A side Napoli were also interested in signing him.
Herrera, 26, has told the Mexican broadcasters that he wants to stay at Porto until the club decide to sell him.
“I know nothing about all these transfer rumours. I want to stay at Porto until the president likes it.”
According to various reports, Herrera’s price-tag is in the region of € 40 million, though Napoli came close to sign the highly rated centre midfielder for € 30 million last summer. With both Liverpool and Juventus looking for some midfield reinforcement in January Herrera had been identified as a possible reinforcement for both clubs that may retire from the race to sign the Mexico International until the next summer transfer window opens.
