Barcelona president confirms Verratti wants Barça move

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has released an interview with Sport and Mundo Deportivo revealing that Marco Verratti wants to move to Barcelona but that Psg are preventing the La Liga giants from signing the Italy star.

“Valverde is an admirer of Verratti and he [Verratti] wants to come to Barcelona”, Bartomeu said.

“Trouble is, Psg don’t want to sell him and there is no release clause we can activate to sign him. They don’t even want to listen to our offers, let’s see if this situation will reiterates until the end of August.”

Calciomercato.com exclusively revealed last month that Verratti has agreed personal terms with Barcelona although Psg are not open to sell.

As for Iniesta, Bartomeu said: “He is a special player, one of the new ones to play with both Messi and Ronaldinho. We want him to sign a contract extension with us, we told him he can decide how much he wants to stay, he’s a serious and responsible player and he will be playing until he feels he can do it.”
