Report: Lazio are hopeful to sign a Chelsea wingback

Simone Inzaghi's Lazio struggled to end the 2018 season but even so, they are currently fourth in the Italian Serie A standings (as they have one point more than Rino Gattuso's AC Milan side). Lazio would like to acquire a new wingback in the January transfer window as they have had their eyes on Chelsea's Davide Zappacosta and Man United's Matteo Darmian of late.

LAZIO ARE HOPEFUL TO SIGN ZAPPACOSTA - According to Italian paper Il Messaggero (via Calciomercato.com), it seems like the blues could let the Italian international leave on loan with an option to buy set at 15 million euros. Still according to Il Messaggero, it seems like Lazio are now in pole position as they are confident they can get a deal done. Time will tell as we should have more news on the matter soon. Inter and Juve have also been linked to the Italian defender.
