Report: Piatek to Milan is gaining steam, the latest

With Gonzalo Higuain's future in heavy doubt, Krzysztof Piatek's name is being linked to the rossoneri. It has been reported that Higuain has officially asked for a transfer to Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea even if a deal remains complicated. Chelsea have to decide if they really are ready to invest that kind of money on a 30+ year old player and even if they do, Milan would first want to find a replacement before potentially letting the Argentine star leave mid-season. 

PIATEK IS A HOT NAME -  SportMediaset (via Calciomercato.com) have stated that Milan have their eyes on Piatek as the Polish star also reportedly is interested in joining the rossoneri. The problem? Milan would have to work around the Fifa financial fair play rules as Piatek would cost around 50 million euros. Other than Piatek, another name who is on Milan's wish-list is Chelsea's Alvaro Morata. Time will tell as the rossoneri have to decide what they will first be doing with Gonzalo Higuain...
