Revealed: AC Milan plan to sign SMS in January

AC Milan are strongly interested in signing Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Rossoneri made a € 30 million loan offer with a € 60 million option to buy last summer but Lazio rejected the offer that came too late (in the night between the 16th and the 17th of July).

According to Calciomercato.com's Federico Zanon, AC Milan have not given up on the talented Lazio midfielder and will make a new attempt to sign him in the January transfer window.

The Rossoneri, however, do not expect to sign Milinkovic-Savic in the winter because Lazio are not open to selling him. Leonardo wants to 'block' Milinkovic-Savic with an offer that would allow AC Milan to sign the player in the summer.

The Serie A giants are waiting to know the sanctions of Uefa for breach of Financial Fair Play and after that, they will know how much they can put on the table to sign the 23-year-old.

AC Milan are aware that several Italian and European clubs want to sign Milinkovic-Savic and Leonardo hopes to convince Lazio to close the deal in January and send the player to the San Siro at the end of the season.
