Speaking at a press conference on the eve of his club’s Champions League match against Chelsea, Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco expressed concern for two players whose status remain questionable heading into the match.

He ruled out both Bruno Peres and Patrik Schick, but said no decision had been made on the statuses of Kostas Manolas and Gregoire Defrel. He said he’ll decided whether they’ll make the squad tonight. “We will look at Defrel and Manolas in training today and decide if they are available for tomorrow.” He continued, "Schick still feels pain when he kicks the ball so he's out. We'll assess him for the Fiorentina game."

ON CHELSEA:
Di Francesco: "We played well in London and I want the same mindset tomorrow. We want to keep this run going. Chelsea could play with two support strikers. Their shape might change with Kante, he's an important player."

ON FAZIO’S EXTENSION:
Di Francesco: "I'm pleased Fazio has signed a new contract. He's a leader and an asset for us."

Radja Nainggolan also took part in the conference. "We respect Chelsea but we know how good we are too. They're a great side but we'll compete." He also spoke of the rotation his manager has employed. “Well a player always wants to play... but we are rotating at the moment and the results are there to see.”
