Roma eye Man Utd defender ahead of the winter transfer market

According to the latest reports out of England, Eric Bailly seems destined to leave Man Utd, either in January or next summer. In Italy, two teams, in particular, have shown their interest for the defender's service.

The first club, AC Milan, have been linked with Bailly for quite some time, as a result of the defensive injury crisis that they're currently experiencing. However, in recent weeks, the rumours have cooled off, opening the door for other possibilities.

In fact, Roma have now joined the race for the Ivorian. The Giallorossi have struggled at the start of this season and could look to add some defensive stability in January.

Man Utd bought Bailly for €38m in 2016, though they can now expect to make a loss on the player. It is believed that they would accept a loan with an option to buy, set at €30m, minimizing their loss.
