Roma hold talks to sign AC Milan, Napoli target

Serie A giants Roma are reportedly in talks to sign Genoa striker Christian Kouame after initial talks for the player were held very recently.

The Ivory Coast striker has been become one of the Serie A's most wanted youngsters this season, just months after joining from Citadella this past summer. In 15 appearances for Genoa, Kouame has scored thrice and has assisted four times.

Sky Italia state that while AC Milan and Napoli are on the trail for Kouame, Roma met the agent of the youngster earlier today and have already begun initial talks for the player.

It is said that Monchi met Kouame's agent to understand the terms of a possible transfer in the future, be it in January or at the end of the season, with the giallorossi currently struggling.

Kouame arrived at Genoa for a fee of just 5 million euros and while his current contract runs out in the summer of 2023, he is valued at 35 million euros by his club.
