Roma identify Young Boys star as alternative for Dortmund midfielder
The German midfielder has fallen out of favor at Dortmund under Lucien Favre and reports state that the German club would allow him to leave the club on loan in January next month.
Gazzetta dello Sport though, state that Monchi has identified an alternative for Weigl and the club feels that Sanogo is the perfect man that they'd sign if a deal for Weigl doesn't work out.
Roma are in pole position to sign the midfielder and are prepared to make the 29-year-old a signing in the upcoming January transfer window. He has appeared 15 times in the Swiss League, appearing once and impressing in the heart of the park.
