Ronaldo remembers Man United 7-1 Roma: 'They begged me to stop dribbling'

Cristiano Ronaldo has a long history with AS Roma and will face the club from the capital once again on Saturday, for the first time in the Juventus shirt. During his time at Real Madrid and Manchester United, the Portuguese phenomenon faced Roma 6 times, winning 5 matches, as some of them were indeed memorable.

One of those is definitely the return leg of the Champions League quarterfinals in 2006/07 at the Old Trafford. United lost the opening match at the Stadio Olimpico 2-1, but won in a devastating fashion at home, beating Roma 7-1 in front of their own fans.

"When it was 6-0, they asked me to stop, an opponent begged me to stop dribbling. Others threatened to hurt me. Roma? There is no player with whom I would exchange a shirt," CR7 said.

Juventus will look to add another win in Serie A against Roma and further strengthen their position on top of the table, as the Bianconeri look destined to cruise to yet another title this season.
