Sampdoria linked with shock move for Arsenal outcast

14 July at 10:16
Sampdoria are understood to be considering a move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshire. The 25-year-old England international, who spent last season on-loan at Bournemouth, looks to be surplus to requirements at The Emirates and Gianluca Di Marzio claims that The Gunners have placed a €10M transfer fee on his head.

Samp are anxiously waiting for news of Patrik Schick’s second medical after problems with the original tests put his move to Juventus in doubt. Should the Czech striker depart then the port club will have around €30M to spend on reinforcements and Wilshere has now become a concrete idea.

The man from Stevenage has played over 100 games for the North London side but a series of injuries saw him lose his place in Arsene Wenger’s starting XI. Having managed to play 29 times on for The Cherries last term, Wilshere has now returned to his parent club before assessing his next move.
