Maurizio Sarri spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport in a long interview today. The former Napoli and current Chelsea coach addressed many issues, including the Chelsea players that have improved most during his time at the Stamford Bridge helm, mainly stressing the quality of centre-back David Luiz, who was reportedly on his way out of the club with Antonio Conte in charge.

"David Luiz surprised me with his availability and intelligence. He has the talent to understand the concepts introduced by the coach and apply them on the field," Sarri said.

"Barkley found continuity after a long period marked by injuries. With the talent that is found, it is almost natural that he can express himself at these levels. Willian? He is a player of immense quality. His style of play is perfect for England. The Brazillian class plus British passion is incredible. Morata? he is a quality, fast and technical forward. He is very sensitive and the difficulties have hurt him," the Chelsea coach added.
